Carmichael is an arranger, conductor and composer who has made significant contributions to both Christian and popular music. In addition to working with many popular musicians, Carmichael has written many classic Christian songs, including “The Savior Is Waiting,” “A Quiet Place,” and “He’s Everything to Me.” He is also credited with helping start the contemporary Christian music genre.
Carmichael has used his talent to arrange various classic hymns for the symphony orchestra and the mass choir. “I love the old hymns! They are the heritage of the church, not archaic, but rather timeless treasures,” said Carmichael. “The hymn writers have translated precious bits of scripture into poetic verse.
