Concert of Great Hymns with Ralph Carmichael
After lunch, the main auditorium opened up for an afternoon concert featuring classic hymns performed by the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra and a mass choir of hundreds of Adventists from around the conference, all under the direction of legendary Christian composer/arranger/conductor Ralph Carmichael.
Jim Pedersen, NCC president, welcomed the thousands in attendance to the concert.
Ralph Carmichael, a legend in the Christian music world, conducted the orchestra and the choir.
The choir members put in many hours of practice, and performed enthusiastically.
Ralph Carmichael was very appreciative of the choir, the orchestra and the audience.
Almost 6,000 people filled the auditorium to listen to the concert of hymns.
